Whose using deet this summer?

Whose using deet this summer? We live in North Alabama so I think our Zika risk is fairly low, but I'm not sure I want to chance it. CDC says its safe "when used as directed" I won't even take a Tylenol when pregnant so I'm really torn 😞

I will be when I know I'll be outside for long periods of time. If I'm just out running errands or only outside for a short time, I will stick with natural repellents. There is a brand called Repel that makes a lemon and eucalyptus spray - no Deet. It has the best reviews I have seen of a non-Deet repellent. Smells better too!!!

I've been using Deet. I too don't use Tylenol or any other meds(except tums). I think it's ok. I'd rather use spray than contract the zika!!!

I live in Northwest Alabama. My doctor said to use regular bug spray with deet. It won't harm baby. 🖒

My doctor said to use deet..the effects of Zika are far worse than any minor effects of deet.

I dont use anything and I live in Florida where it has like the highest cases of zika but theres no mosquito in the US that has the virus so Im not even the least bit worried

I'm going to use a natural a based repellent called Badger (good reviews on Amazon), unless the CDC says the mosquitoes in the US start spreading it.  If that is the case, I will switch to DEET.  I'm in Southern California.

Citronella bracelets are amazing! I used them last summer while vacationing in St Martin, I did not get one bug bite.  I wouldn't be spraying all those chemicals from bug spray on me while pregnant.  I would also try and find an organic bug spray if you want to spray yourself with something.
