Peeling from piercing behind ear ??

I've had my ears pierced since I was a baby .. I'm now 22 .. But recently my ears peel realllly bad around the piercing hole on the back ? The skin literally peels off in chunks ? Gross I'm sorry but does anyone else have this problem !????

It could be the metal in the piercing itself. I'm allergic to nickel jewelry and if I wear earrings that aren't sterling silver or hypoallergenic steel, my skin does the same thing where my ears get red and the skin peels. If this started with new, cheap earrings that could be the reason! Or you may need sensitive-ear backings.

it could be that the skin is just really dry maybe. try puttingno scented lotion on them:)
