So my sister has three kids. 3 year old 2 year old and a 1 1/2 year old. She's not very good with them. Her house is always covered in old food, forks on the floor, broken plates things like that. So at about 6:20 every night she gives each child 20 mg of melatonin. Now I'm no doctor but I know FOR SURE that giving young children that much melatonin for NO REASON is dangerous. She gives it to them every night and says the doctor told her she is fine doing it. On the bottle it says not to give the 10mg tablets to anyone under 18 years of age. None of them have any sleep problems (I would know because I took care of them as their nanny for five months) and they are already super tired by the time she gives them the medicine. I'm not trying to be their parent or whatever but I am very concerned and was wondering if I'm over reacting...?
