Back lash on my 24th birthday!!

Today is my 24th birthday and I am so happy and thankful to see another year ( I'm also 24 weeks pregnant YAY). For my birthday my SO got me a maternity pillow, some fish for my tank since one died, and some cupcakes (vanilla & chocolate and I absolutely HATE chocolate). Now he asked me what I wanted and I told him that it would be nice just to be pampered nothing expensive like he usually does. Now I'm a very appreciative person and I'm thankful. I was told that I should say something because the gifts he got for me are crappy, that I should be disappointed, and a lot of back lash because I don't want to. I don't want to hurt his feelings or sound ungrateful at the end of the day it's the thought that counts and that's how I've always been. He usually gives me whatever I ask for and then some even if I don't ask. Should I say something or not. I mean I don't hate the gifts because they are things I had asked for prior to and I really appreciate him because he's also cooking dinner and he's giving me his version of a pedicure (lol). To me I love everything!! What should I do??
