Baby prefers daddy/seems to hate me?

Hi my LO is 6 weeks old now but from the beginning she has always favored her daddy & to be honest im kinda jealous! it seems like she hates me. He was the first to make her smile (& the only one who can make her keep smiling), her eyes light up when she sees him & she instantly smiles...if i so much as look at her sideways she immediately starts screaming & crying & i cant console her...then i give her to daddy & she stops instantly! This has been going on for weeks, what gives?!?

I am EBF her so thats like the only time she doesnt hate me (when theres a boob in her mouth)...i feel like a giant walking boob...& because of these crazy hormones it upsets me like 10X more! i keep hoping shell grow out of it...but so far no luck!

Obviously i feel very blessed that she has such a great loving daddy but i want some love too! 😂

I noticed my son does certain things with my husband that he won't do with me as well. My husband is gone all day at work and doesn't spend too much time with him once he does get home since he typically cooks and cleans up so I think that might be why but I also think it's just baby's way of learning. But I agree stress has a lot to do with it. I always go get a shower if I'm stressing out (usually from baby crying and not sure why he is crying) and when I come back calm, he instantly settles down. I know it's emotionally hard but give it some time :)

I was the same way!!! Daddy is the only one who can console our baby boy. I think they smell is and the milk and if they don't want to be fed they fuss. Lol. At least that is what I am going with.

My sister in law says her husband has a very special bond with their daughter that she just doesn't have. She has that same kind of bond with their son. It's that 'mama's boy' and 'daddy's girl' cliché. Maybe you just have that sort of thing happening at home.

I wish at times! It's the other way for us. Also breastfeeding but I do express so her dad does give her bottles. 
If I give her to him when she's calm it's fine but if she's upset she won't settle for him sometimes she'll even reject the bottle from him but take it from me! (Then I wonder what the point of expressing was)
I love her to bits but I try to give hubby a bit of time with her when he gets in from work and I go cook and tidy up but it's so annoying when I have to keep stopping just to go calm her down then hand her back.  I know it upsets him too.

Give it time and try not to stress, they can sense it. If you've been tense during to hormones or anything the baby will pick up on it.

Does daddy work all day? Sometimes I feel like my LO gets sick of looking at me all day so she's excited when daddy gets home. Like we just need a break from each other and he isn't all tired and warn out like I am lol
