Anyone had a cervical biopsy?

I'm 25, had my first smear test which came back with abnormal cells and low grade HPV went to have a colposcopy today and they want me back 6/6/16 for a biopsy as a few white cells r showing and my body's immune system isn't fighting it off on its own. Has anyone else had this and are biopsys painful? I'm really really scared to death

I had one last year. Just a little crampy for a split second when they take the same and then it's over. It's honesty no worse than a regular pap. I wouldn't stress too much over it. Take some midol 30 minutes for your appointment, that should help!

Exactly the same as me this time last year. Honestly the biopsy takes a few minutes I don't know why they wouldn't have just done it while they were in there doing the colposcopy. Bit of spotting and maybe a little cramping was all I experienced. Mine came back all clear. Iv just had a smear again 3 weeks ago and it's all clear this time too 😊 try not to worry too much.

I had a cervical biopsy a few years ago. I'm not gonna lie, it was pretty painful. Like the worst cramps ever in a very short amount of time. I felt crampy for the next few hours afterwards. Whoever is doing it will most likely ask you to cough real hard when they say so. It does help a bit, cause its like a tiny claw that clips a bit off from your cervix. You may have some funny discharge the next few days cause they'll put a swab of iodine type stuff up there to keep it clean. But it happens real quick, you'll be just fine. Just sharing my experience with it.
