Crib or co-sleeper/bassinet?

We just bought a new house and have to redo the basement so we can move the game room there and use the game room for a nursery. So I can't decide if I want to buy a crib or a co-sleeper/bassinet until we get everything else done and then buy the crib and stuff for the nursery. Thoughts? Suggestions? We have enough room in our bedroom for a crib and stuff but I don't know if I want to get an entire nursery crib, changing table, dresser now or just wait a couple months.
