Are you supposed to have a 6 week ultra sound??

I see everyone e getting a 6 week ultra sound and the only time I had one was when I went to the er because of severe pain in my left abdomen. It was to early to even see anything and they said the pain was because of a cyst. I will be 11 almost 12 weeks the first time I see my doctor and that's when I'll get an ultrasound.

I am also not getting my first ultrasound until 12 weeks. I think it varies by dr. Mine is July 5, such a long wait for an impatient first timer over here :)

I got one at 6 weeks, but only because we thought we were 8 weeks along. Due Date based off LMP was way off

Depends where you are from. In australia we all get dating scans to check the due date and the heart beat between 6:8 weeke

Most OBs won't do an ultrasound that early. Many of us that have had miscarriages or complications go in earlier for a scan. :)
