Who gained weight with IUDs?

Hello lovely ladies!
Do any of you use the Skyla IUD? 
Have you seen an impact on your weight? My OBGYN says the hormones are mostly  released locally in the uterus, therefore there is a very small impact on the rest of body. Is that true? 
Have you gained weight?
What other changes have you seen? Libido?

Gained 20 pounds a month for three and a half months after getting my mirena. My doc said it was my other meds catching up with me, but it only started after the iud. Since ive taken it out ive lost 20 or so pounds.

I had a horrible experience with Mirena. I gained a lot, couldn't lose it, or stop gaining, among other things. It's not SUPPOSED to make you gain weight, but lots of women do, and doctors don't like to admit that. I just had it taken out. Would not recommend. But as with any birth control, do your own research and decide what's best for you.

That's why I had mine removed. Headaches, weight gain, and painful during sex. My OBGYN told me the same thing, but once I had it removed I haven't had those problems since and lost 10 pounds.

The hormonal ones do. Any Hormonal birth control can and might affect weight and acne. The copper one however won't affect your weight.
