We have 2 cats and a dog. I love them all, but I'm concerned about one of the cats. He's always been kind of an asshole, but for the past 2 years or so, it's gotten worse. He terrorizes everybody in the house. He picks fights with my other cat, he goes after the dog and the dog is terrified of him, I'm afraid to even cross paths with him in the house. He's been checked out by the vet, there's nothing medically wrong with him. He's around 13 years old and an indoor cat. The vet said it could be maybe he's just getting old. But my other cat is 14 years old and he's super sweet. This one is literally the boss of all of us. He attacked me a few times just for being nice to him. I see him staring at me sometimes, and the look in his eyes are just pure evil. When he realizes you see him staring at you, he starts the growl. I'm afraid to pick up my other cat to give him some love these days, because the little terror attacks my feet and legs, and chases me every time I pick up my other cat. He destroyed every piece of carpet and nice furniture we have, despite all the scratching posts around every corner of the house. He's very unpredictable, and I'm afraid of what is going to happen when the baby is here. I don't want to give him away, but I also am done living in fear...any suggestions??
