Babys not moving?

Question

I'm used to being able to feel my baby move, like small fluttering and little kicks. I'm 17 weeks almost going to be 18 weeks in a couple of days. Today I haven't felt her move all day and I'm kind of concerned. I drank some Pepsi and ate some ice cream I hopes that the sugar will make her become active. But I don't want to seem to over dramatic or anything so I'm not sure what to do. Any suggestions?

You won't feel consistent movement until 26 weeks. Its WAY to early for movement to be anything then random. Most women don't even feel movement until 20-22 weeks.

They sell fetal Doppler monitors for cheap. I picked one up and heard baby's heartbeat at 10 weeks. Whenever I am in doubt I listen. Helps ease the fear.

They say that around that time u will feel ur baby kick on and off its when u get to like 24 weeks is when they should kick everyday:)

This is why you typically don't monitor/count kicks until 28 weeks, unless otherwise stated by your OB/MW. Your baby is still pretty small, so she/he could be moving but you're unable to detect it. However if you're ever concerned for your baby, always contact your OB/MW. Always!
