When to start buying

So I am 12 weeks today and I really wanna buy some baby stuff lol but my fiance wants to wait until we know the gender 😑😢 that's so far away!!! When did you start buying things for your baby??

OMG - I was buying gender neutral onesies BEFORE I was even pregnant! Do what you want, I say. The mothering/nesting instinct is strong. Just try not to go overboard. But, heck, if you see a cute onesie or something and want it, buy it! Treat yo' self! (Within reason, of course.) Maybe tell your husband you'd like to buy 1-2 baby items to celebrate getting pregnant?

But all of these people saying not until you know the gender are kind of silly. Not everything has to be gender specific!

I'm 32 weeks and we still don't know the gender. We have almost everything including clothes !

Just silly to think you will only want blue if it's a boy or pink if it's a girl.. There are other colors out there..

We are going on vacation the end of June when we come back I'll start buying stuff I'll be in my second trimester and feel like that's a good time to start

We started at 5 weeks! I envisioned a gender-neutral nursery anyway, even though we knew we wanted to learn the gender ASAP. We put a package on layway with all the "big ticket" items, which we were allowed to customize once we learned the gender.

I really wanted to buy something just to make it more real so I bought a few unisex outfits from newborn to  12 months. Not a lot but it was nice to have something :)

Im wanting to aswell at 12 weeks but instead i think were going to save up money until wee find out the gender then go on a shopping trip after the hospital and start getting our things will be much more special then 😊💖 xx

I started buying baby things when I was about 4 months. I started by buying small things such as pampers, wipes, lotion, body wash etc. I've found that in my area CVS and their extra bucks worked out in my favor most of the time. (Ex: spend $30 get $10 extra bucks; eventually they learn my purchasing habits and started including coupons on baby things)

My mother volunteered to buy his baby furniture so...the major thing was taken care of.

Everyone's duff u can buy certain things an yellows greens blues etc . But I waited until 19 weeks when found out gender it is far but it's so great to get for first time when u find out the gender...

If your finding out the gender when the time comes you will want blue or pink as you'll be excited so I'd wait personally so you don't over buy or double up on things. Perhaps buy one nice neutral outfit to hang up for you to see and keep you going until you find out xxx
