Correct reading on doppler?

Question

I just got my sonoline b today. I tried and always get numbers between 60 to 80. Is that correct? Arent they supposed to be close as the reading given to me by my OB during my scan which was 170? Was that my heartbeat or something else? I even tried to count the beats by myself and got the same numbers as doppler.

Any idea whats going on?

I was just about to say that's probably your heartbeat. On the sonoline b fetal doppler the baby's heart sounds like a galloping noise like a horse gallop. Keep searching low and I'm sure you'll find it ☺☺

Sounds like your getting your heartbeat babies heartbeats are above 100 and fast. Ours are slower.

Sounds like your heart rate. Make sure the sound you are hearing sounds like horses galloping. Im searious, it sounds like clippity clop clippity clop. The woosh woosh sound is coming from either your arteries or the placenta. That's the beat way to distinguish between the two. I love my sonoline b and have had it since i was 10 weeks. It took a while then for me to hear the galloping but now at 20w3d i find it very quickly. Although i no longer need it because i can feel my prince moving around now. Good luck!

Sounds like it's your heartbeat lol... Mine with my girl usually reads at least 150. The lowest with my last pregnancy was 130 and he was a boy!  That would be a very low hb if it was correct. Keep playing around with it😜

The reader is never right fornme and.im 36 weeks... Try counting the beats for q5 seconds and.multply by 4...

I had been doing it wrong the whole time , the fastest heart beat is the babies it should be hire than 120. Your heart rate and the placenta will show up too but those are a lot lower so you're probably getting one of those :)

You are most likely getting your HR. If you  haven't, watch the YouTube videos on how to use :) While the home dopplers are 100% correct in reading, the baby's heartbeat will be over 100.

What helped me was to watch YouTube videos of how to find the heart beat. I found it easy and consistently starting around 9 weeks.

First, watch the videos to learn the difference between the placenta noise and the heart beat noise.

Second, realize the baby is going to be MUCH lower than you think. Make slow subtle movements with the wand until you find the placenta. Usually, point your wand downward.

Lastly, once you find and recognize the placenta noise, you will almost always find the baby's heartbeat very close to it. You should get a high reading on the monitor.

Hey girly, if I'm reading your posts correctly, you are about 9 weeks now? Don't get too frustrated if you can't find it. Baby is super tiny and I got very lucky that I was able to find it once at about 10 weeks. When I kept trying again, I could never find it and started panicking and the doctor said baby was just super tiny at the point. Now at 16 weeks, I can usually find her within a minute or two lol but i had to stop using the Doppler for weeks bc I couldn't find her and was freaking out!
