I go with the first because it's like counting weeks when your baby is born. No one says that your 5 week old baby is 2 months, so why would you be 2 months pregnant when you're 5 weeks? You are in your 2nd month of pregnancy, but you aren't 2 months. You are how many months you've completed- just like being 27 years old for the year after you've completed 27 years after birth.
