Estrogen and Progesterone Supplements

Hello! I'm newly pregnant - 6 weeks today - after our first IVF cycle. My doctor prescribed estrogen (patches) and progesterone (vaginal suppositories) supplements until I produce enough of the hormones on my own. My question is whether they are giving me a false sense of security? I haven't had any spotting, but I'm still worried about miscarriage. Are the hormone levels high enough where I wouldn't bleed even if I was miscarrying?
