What do I need?

I'm a first time mom and at my baby shower I didn't get a lot of bigger things. What all am I going to need. I got a crib, dresser, changing table, but nothing else but clothes.

Baby doesn't need a whole lot... just a place sleep and stuff to eat and be changed. That's really it lol.

It's mama that will need a few extra things (if you breastfeed)

Bare bones, I would say: 
- a crib, pack'n'play or a rock n play
- diapers
- wipes
- butt cream
- bottles (I didn't use them til month 3 though)
- burp cloths 
For the breast fed baby
- a boppy or some kind of breastfeeding pillow. 
- nipple cream
- breast pads
- pump

And that's really all I can think of...

Some things you don't have to worry about getting till the baby is older and mobile. I say around 6 months or so. If you find a great deal then Ok but otherwise it will just take up room not getting any use.

You don't *need* anything else but I'd get a booster high chair seat (actual high chairs are a total waste of space- as are baby bath tubs, big sponges or bath flowers work great as do laundry baskets) a swing or bouncer, baby gates if you have stairs or areas that'll need blocked...

I have a giant bookshelf because my baby already has lots of books, and I am also getting a cubicle deal with those fabric boxes that slide in for more organized storage. I also have a floor lamp, recliner, a ladder for blanket storage, some baskets to do diaper stations around the house, etc. Baby will have lots of little things so the more organized, the better. (For me anyways)
