What does giving birth without meds feel like?

I had a c-section for my first and my midwife and obstetrician gave me the go ahead to deliver vaginally this time. With my first it was such a gong show (pictocin and epidural then c-section) and I only got to 2 cm. I want to try giving birth naturally and med-free, but I am a bit nervous and unsure of what to expect...

So my question is....what does it feel like? Also any tips that helped you with the pain would be much appreciated!

It feels like you're shitting a buick. It's the hardest thing ever. But you can do it and after that you can do any damn thing you want in life💪🏽👊🏼

I was induced with pitocin and only had gas during contractions (which only just takes the edge off, it still bloody kills) and nothing while pushing.
For me the contractions felt like period pain but a million times worse, but the general feeling was similar.
Pushing pretty much felt like trying to push out a huge poop, while someone is lighting your vagina on fire.
It's really hard to do, but try to relax during contractions, fighting it makes it worse. And try to visualise each contraction bringing you closer to seeing your baby, it really helps if you think of them as a good thing.
I was totally incapable of doing this, I couldn't think or function at all so my advice would be to have your partner be really involved with researching methods so they can take the lead of you can't :)
