HCG level with multiples?

Is HCG always higher with multiples? Can you guess from your HCG levels if you are having twins or not? Did anyone have different symptoms with twins?

Answer

The range for HCG levels can very a lot and amounts can overlap between singletons and multiples.  Also sometimes we don't ovulate (or the fertilization) doesn't happen when we think it does, so the numbers by week can be different.  I felt nausea and exhaustion with my twins, but I had the same symtoms with my singleton.  Sorry probably not much help. 😕

My HCG level was higher on my first blood pregnancy test at the doctor office.  The only symptom I had before the test was frequent urination.
