Shoe size increase after pregnancy?

Friend told me her shoe size never went back and none of her shoes fit after!!?? Did this happen to you?

The reason this happens is because while pregnant, your body produces a hormone called relaxin, which works to relax the ligaments in your body. It's specifically for the pelvis, to allow opening during birth, but unfortunately works on everything.
Your feet are held together by both ligaments and muscular support to hold the arch up. When the ligaments relax, you can experience a falling arch due to the relaxin and the increased weight you're putting on them. The flattening of the feet makes them longer and wider, and usually can't be corrected. To try and prevent it, you can keep up with strengthening excercises for your feet, and do mild cardio to keep the weight gain down.
If the feet grow during pregnancy, but go back to normal after delivery, it's safe to say that the changes were just caused by temporary swelling. :)

I was a size 10 and they went up to size 11. Now 2 years later they are finally going back down to size 10. I am pregnant again however so I'm sure I will be a size 11 again lol

Mine did mainly due to swelling,  but I went from a size 7 1/2 to an 8 and still wear an 8

Yes I was a size 10 and now I'm an 11. No shoes fit and I'm pregnant again I really hope They won't get bigger

I was just told that also by a friend :-/ I wonder if the same will happen to me although I'm not gaining much weight and my feet haven't swelled yet at 7 months

Went up a half size after my 1st pregnancy that never went back. We will see what happens with number 2
