In a pickle, what to do...

So I've been out of work since February due to my company closing the store that I worked in. We closed due to the company filing for bankruptcy and the company having to close stores to liquidate some assets. They closed a total of 40 stores nationwide.

I have been offered jobs in two different companies. Both in which I would have the same title and responsibilities that I have had in my last jobs.

Company 1 is offering $16.40 and company 2 is offering $17 and is still willing to negotiate a higher dollar amount. ( They offered the position and I turned it down and then they called back wanting to see what I wanted to be comoensated.)

Company 1 is a known company by most people and company 2 is known by a lot of people, but known more by parents.

Company 1 store manager and DM seems very nice and have a succession plan planned out for me and I feel like I could be a better leader from this manager seeing as he has been in a store manager position for a while. Company 2 store manager just became a store manager within the last 6 months and is really nice as well, but I feel like the DM doesn't have the "time" to talk to their potential employees. I actually interviewed with company 2 when baby was 2 weeks old and she is now 10 weeks old. The only reason why everything was hung up was because of the DM and not scheduling the time to talk to me and disregarding emails. I had to call the store several times to see where we were at. I also feel that I don't have that "connection" with the store manager or dm like I do with company 1.

Company 1 and company 2 are the same distance apart. Company 1 is in a high end mall and company 2 is in an outlet outdoor mall.

Both companies I can get a discount in, but I can only wear clothes from company 1.

Company 1 offers better benefits in regards to time off and pto as well as holidays and I'm garanteed 40 hours. Company 2 the max hours I can work is 38.5. Managers get 1 weekend off a month with company 2 and I'm not sure about company 1.

Company 1 is the parent company to 3 other stores, so if I move, I can transfer into other stores. Company 2 only has one store. Both companies are nationwide.

Company 1 closed some stores last year. Company 2 opened some stores last year. Dm from company 2 also asked where I am wiling to travel to if more stores opened.

Both companies seem to have their challenges. Both companies have employees they are wanting to get rid of or train to keep. And both companies are having challenges meeting their numbers.

Both companies also seem like I can work there for awhile. My usual time with a company is 2 years. So that's about the minimum amount of time I'm going to be there.

It seems as if I am more partial to company 1. I know I know. It's my life and decisions.

But what do you think? I need an outsiders perspective! !
