Being induced :( pitocin or balloon?

So I'm being induced June 14th. 
:(
I know it's awful pain, but should I at least ask my doctor to do pitocin or the balloon???

I would try every method other than pitocin. It ups the likelihood of so many more interventions. Plus you're being induced on top. I'd do the foley bulb, then have them break your waters, and walk around and do lots of squats to really stimulate those contractions. 
Try and use pitocin as a last resort.

If I had the choice, I'd try the foley bulb first (shouldn't be painful at all...it really isn't that big) and if that doesn't work well enough and you've exhausted all other interventions, then try Pitocin. If you haven't already, research/read up on Pitocin and how those longer/stronger contractions affect your baby. Not mentioning this to scare you or anyone else, but by all means, it is worth it to exhaust all other measures before letting them pump you full of the drug. Good luck (to us all!)..

You may honestly need both as the balloon can only folate you so much. It may stimulate contractions and work well, but pitocin may be needed to finish the job. Good luck!

Balloon for sure! I did it with my youngest and my contractions were extremely mild I mostly just felt pressure it ended up falling out on its own but I went from 2cm to 5cm in about 3 hours and then proceeded into active labor on my own after that.

During my induction with my first daughter 2 years ago, I was first given suppositories inside my vagina to soften and dilate cervix.  That wasn't that successful,Then followed by the foley bulb which for me was was terribly painful. That was so painful it had me shaking in pain; the bulb dialates u to 4 then it falls out on its own. After the foley came out I still want progressing on my own & the next day I was started on pitocin, followed by breaking my water. It al really depends on how fast the labor is progressing, if you are diaries already & cervix is soft u might just need the pitocin to spend things up more.

Just talked to my doc today about the possibility of induction for medical reasons. If i do get induced and since I'm not dilated, they'd insert the balloon to open me up, then would begin with something like pitocin. She said this process to begin labor can take a couple of days before the actual birth.

I did the foley balloon and loved it..well, love is a strong word..but it worked!😄😄
