Symptoms of birth control pill

So am new to the pill and I started using it first day of my period which was last Tuesday and my period is still going on till now not sure if this is normal, speaking to my doctor 2moro but I wanted to know other people experience, I know everyone have a different reaction to it, but am so worried!!
