Should I change my last name back to maiden name or keep married last name for kids?

After 13 years together 7 married I am getting a divorce. I really want to change back to my maiden name but also want to keep his last name because of my kids. The reminder of his last name just reminds me of all the problems we had and his family who treated me like crap. I'm so confused on what to do. Everyone knows me by his last name as we've been together since we were 14 years old and got married young.
