Any mathematicians out there?! Need help figuring out my gestational age!📅
Does anyone know how Glow calculates the gestational age of the baby for those of us with 35 day cycles?
Last AF: April, 17
Positive opk: May, 8
Next AF: May, 23 (based on when I had my positive opk, give a take a day or two).
First + hpt: May, 20 (vvvvvvvvfl)
Second + hpt: May, 23 (dark as night)
Glow says I'm 5w3d but AF was over 6 weeks ago.
I read online that if you have a longer cycle you need to adjust your LMP in order to determine how far along you are:
"If your menstrual cycle is usually 35 days long and the first day of your LMP was November 1:
- add 21 days (November 22)
- subtract 14 days to find your adjusted LMP date (November 8)"
If I use this method then my adjusted LMP is April, 24 which makes Glow correct. But at the moment I'm going on Fetal Age purely because I know when I ovulated/conceived. And I don't know if you add an extra 2 weeks on to fetal age to get the gestational age if you have a 35 day cycle?
I am going for a scan on June, 8 so I'll know exactly what the scan says but that feels like another lifetime away.
Sorry for the long essay but if anyone is able to shed some light, I'd really appreciate it.
