When did you start giving your babies baby food?

Post a brief description on when you think it's a good time for babies to start tasting baby food.

I started when my son started demanding more than my nipples could handle! We were going to wait till six months, but it was around 5 months. He certainly let me know!

6 months. That's usually the time when babies can sit upright well, tongue thrust is gone, and open gut is no longer an issue. 
We also waited till 6 months because we're doing baby led weaning.

If he shows signs of being ready from 4-6months im fine with starting with gentle stuff and purees. And solids at 6months. When the tongue thrust isn't there anymore is when lots of moms do it. Its up to you and your comfort zone.

I tried a week before she was 6 months. She still had a tongue thrust so I waited a few more weeks.
