Thoughts on smoking marijuana throughout entire pregnancy?

I've smoked weed pretty much throughout my entire pregnancy. I quit a couple times but became very irritable, tired but couldn't sleep, stressed out and couldn't eat and I could not bare the cramps. The doctors say I have no complications at all my baby's fully healthy and I've been honest with my doctors but I'm still kinda worried thoughts?

If they drug test you, you should worry. Other th a n that, not my body bot my baby so i don't care. I know in my state it can be a random drug test.

If you've been honest by telling the doc you've been smoking weed expect a drug test when the baby comes. They'll call cyfd so fast. Just because doc is ok with it doesn't mean there aren't any protocols they have to go by. It's illegal federally still, even if it helps... You can get your baby taken from you so by 30-32 weeks I would DEFINITELY stop just in case you go into labor.

I was in co. When I was pregnant, I tried to quit smoking but I couldn't eat or sleep my doc. Prescribed it to me so that I could control my morning sickness, and sleep, I started gaining more more weight, my daughter is 5 and is heathly as can be.

Smoking anything isn't good for the baby, but luckily there's lots of ways to consume cannabis without inhaling smoke. I'd look into those routes, especially if you're in a legal state where you have access to dispensaries.

Ok I'm gunna be the odd ball. Let me start with I have multiple sclerosis and failed the one drug that is fda approved for pregnancy. Marijuana helps with my constant pain and muscle spasms (that could cause early labor!) I'm honest with my midwife, she doesn't care and thinks it's perfect cause I'm protecting myself and in turn my baby. In my state it's legal with a card, which I have. So unless they drug test my baby, which they only do with some cause here. And I'm gunna try to not use that much in the last three months anyway, I'll be fine. It's your body and your baby. You do what you feel is right. I don't smoke so much as eat and vape when I'm bad off. I wish you a healthy rest of your pregnancy and a healthy baby!

I know plenty of young moms who smoked weed during their pregnancies...who's children have been diagnosed with autism. It is never a good idea to smoke any while while pregnant. Good luck

Be careful. Everyone is different. What may effect you may not effect someone else. Just don't do it very often. Maybe talk to your doctor about other ways to use it like the pills because smoking it is the most harmful. Just be careful you don't want them trying to take your child away.

A friend of mine just went through this. The hospital I believe is obligated to report it. They did with her. A cps worker came to her house to meet the kids and to see how they lived. Tested the father. They came back negative so she closed the case and have her 6 months of free day care..

Maybe you can try other things to help with dealing with your irritability and other symptoms. Have you ever tried prenatal yoga? I used to smoke weed and indulged in quite a few glasses of wine before I got pregnant. So, I totally understand that it sucks to quit and I'm not telling you that's what you should or shouldn't do. There are quitting smoking apps for iPhone that I downloaded in the past. They're meant for cigarettes but I would imagine that it would have the same effect for weed users, too. They're just relaxing tapes that are almost like hypotherapy. They're worth giving a shot, what do you have to lose? I'd suggest trying different techniques to cut back if you're feeling worried about it. Good luck!
