Period lasting 10 days (Plan B)?

Okay, so my period started 10 days ago (very heavy). On the last day of my period, my boyfriend and I had sex. The condom broke (he didn't finish inside me), so I took a Plan B pill about 6 hours after. I've continued to bleed this dark brown blood for an additional 5 days. It's not a lot of blood, but it's this dark brown color. Has anyone else experienced this? I called the pharmacist and she said it's pretty normal for Plan B to cause abnormal menstrual bleeding, but I usually don't experience this until about a week after taking the pill, not the day after. Anyways, thoughts are appreciated!
