As a former victim, I understand completely. Your frame of mind is really important. Try to find ways to disassociate your abuse with breast feeding. Consider how nursing will be a bond based on love and nourishment for your child. It's a chance for you to use your body's natural ability to do something good for your baby. Don't force yourself or do anything to trigger trauma by any means. If breastfeeding is something you really want to try, you have to be patient with yourself and understand that if it isn't something you are able to feel comfortable with, that your child will still be loved and healthy.
