How did you tell your parents/in-laws?

My husband and I have been married almost 5 years. My in-laws only have one grandchild and will be so happy to know we are expecting. It's been about 2 1/2 years since my MC. Neither of our parents have a clue! I'd like to come up with a creative way to tell them, but I'm coming up short. How did you guys tell your parents/in laws?

Just found out I was pregnant a few days ago. We are taking our pup with us to my parents house with this bandana around his neck

We haven't told anyone yet! We are going down to visit my family and have family pictures. I know the photographer so as long as we have a confirmed heartbeat in a few weeks I'm going to have her, on the first picture, say "Lindsay's pregnant on three!" I'm excited to have her capture their reactions on camera! As for our in-laws on the way home, maybe have our first son wear a Big Brother shirt or something. Not quite sure!

We are going on a family vacation with my immediate family in a few weeks. They all know how much we want a baby and it ALWAYS comes up. My mom says things like "we need another grand baby!" So I'm hoping we get a good set up like that so we can just say, "sorry, you'll just have to wait until February." And then wait until it registers. Lol! With my in-laws, we are very close with them, and they know we just suffered a loss (my family does not) so this will be a big surprise, plus very emotional for all of us. We are telling them on the Fourth of July, and by giving them some items to hold onto for when baby comes to visit.

I got my mom and my mother inlaw a pandora charm. I really liked it so my husband went out later that day and got me one too.

My sister is having a baby - due 4th July. Going to wait until after that before we say a single word. The last thing I would want is for my sister to have her baby and then my parents immediate response be mentioning that I'm pregnant... or for my sister to be thinking of that at all!

So holding out and not mentioning a word or even hinting for another month at least - longer if we can!

We're waiting till after first ultrasound at 8 weeks. Have been slowly giving them wedding pics. Going to tell them we got "our favorite picture" framed and give them a framed ultrasound picture. Also doing fourth so we can be with family if I can get off work

We haven't told anyone yet besides very few close friends, but when we do tell our families, were going to tell my mom the day before fathers day. Tell her we need advice on a gift to get my dad, and show her some onesies or something. Hopefully she can keep her mouth shut until the next day xD I'm telling my dad by giving him a blank Funko Pop that I drew pink and blue dots on, and a big questionmark. On the back, I'm going to put "Grandpa, EST Feb 2017". 
For my boyfriends parents, were telling them on father's day also. Were getting his dad some Stephen King books he's been looking for, and then tuck a baby related book in the stack too. See how long it takes for them to register xD I can't wait

I had to tell both my parents through phone because they live far away from me. But we told his mom and sister in person when they came to visit us before he deployed
