implementation bleeding or period??

So I'm 11 days past ovulation. took a pregnancy test yesterday morning and this morning. very faint line. yesterday I started brown spotting. in the middle of the night I woke up to medium bleeding (red). my period was due to come THIS Friday. wtf is going on? so confusing and disappointing. everything I've read about implementation bleeding says very light bleeding, brown or pink spotting only.
