16 and 19 year old?

I turn 17 in two months. I live in Maryland, where the age of consent is 16. I was wondering what you think of me having sex with a 19 year old. We've already had sex four times, each time it was safe. And according to the law, it is legal. However, my friend told me he was "too old". I need to know what everyone's opinion on this is. :/

I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but since I was 16 I've usually only fucked guys in their late twenties/early 30s. It really is just more about maturity. I'm 18 now and I couldn't ever even see myself being romantically interested in anyone under 25, let alone dating someone my own age.

At your ages, it comes down to maturity. This is one area where I wouldn't rely solely on your own judgment. Sometimes the excitement blinds us to some red flags, so have a trusted friend hang out with both of you together to get a second opinion. A third party is more likely to notice the little things that could be signs of trouble.

I met my now ex boyfriend when I was 15 and he just barely turned 18. I turned 16 two months later and he just turned 19 like last week. We're not together anymore, obviously, but the sex & relationship aspect worked well for us. That does NOT mean it could work for everybody, though. I'm more mature than I ought to be, and I think he was a little behind. We are more best friends than anything, though.

I don't think that's bad. I'm 20 and my SO is 23, even though you're a minor that is the age of consent for where you live. If there is no law against it go for it.

There is only one opinion that matters, yours!! I mean if you're being safe and all I think it's ok but a rule of thumb to remember is if you are worried about people thinking it's wrong it's only bc you think it's wrong. Best of luck!
