Successful membrane sweep???

Question

Anyone get a membrane sweep and it actually start labor within 48 hours or so? Trying to decide if I'm going to allow my doctor to perform the procedure. I really don't care for unnecessary pain, I will get enough necessary pain in the following week or so.

I was swept at 3pm dilated to 5cm by 8pm and she was born at 245am!!!
I was stuck in false labour for quite a few days prior thou but as soon as it was done my labour progressed quickly!

I had a membrane sweep Friday at 9:30 and delivered my baby Sunday at 8:06! I had mild but consistent contractions all day / night Friday, then had strong but inconsistent contractions all Saturday and that night. They continued to get stronger and more consistent, so I finally went and got admitted at 5:00 Sunday. Three hours later, they broke my water and my baby and placenta came out within seconds with one hard push!

I was stripped today at my 39w 2d apt; I am dilated between 2-3 cm. Hoping this weekend I can meet my baby girl..

It worked AMAZING with my first pregnant. My dr stripped me on the 24th my due date was the 28th I had him the 25th I was only dilated to a 1. I cannot remember how thinned. I was stripped this pregnancy at 38W1D dilated to a 3 and 75% thinned and NOTHIN! It doesn't hurt, it's uncomfortable sure but I would not say painful. I didn't bleed or spot with either. I'll be stripped again Thursday.
