Debating on trying to get pregnant again..

I suffered from an ecotoptic pregnancy that resulted in a miscarriage on April 30th, me and my boyfriend want to try and have another baby. Which we have been but it doesn't seem to be working in our favor, he was devastated when we found out we lost the baby because he always thought he couldn't have children. I want to try and have another baby but I'm in fear of the same thing happening again and I don't want to get his hopes up. Opinions or advice please...
