Nail polish on a little girl wrong?

I recently read an article about French manicure and in the intro, the author told a story about painting her BFF nails and both of them getting in trouble with her best friend's parents, while her own parents didn't mind at all. Why is it wrong? I don't understand. I don't think long acrylics belong in a little girl's fingernails (even then if I had a daughter that wanted fake press-on's that fit her, why not?), but nail polish? What's wrong about that? Is she going to drop out of school because she painted her nails? 😶

I think it's fine personally but yes, some parents  think nail polish of any sort is too "adult" for a kid  and innapropriate .    If it's their kid, it's their rules .  You gotta respect  that

That's dumb as hell. My cousin used to paint my nails when I was three when we would sit out in the grass on a blanket. It's fine. Parents are too damn annoying now a days.

I was never allowed to wear nail polish until I was like 12 or so. My mom just grouped it along with other makeup into stuff that's only appropriate after a certain age. It didn't have anything to do with Juvenal delequency. I don't remember it ever being a big deal honestly.

How to answer this poll really confused me. I think I picked the wrong answer by mistake. I painted my nails and toes as a kid all the time. All those glittery colors haha. There's nothing wrong with it. Maybe no black nail polish on kindergarteners?

I remember painting my nails with a friend when I was maybe 5? It definitely wasn't a regular thing. I think it's fine if it's part of costume/creative play.

My daughter has asked for nail polish on her since age 3. She loves it! I never wear it, but I'm ok if she does.

Some parents are more conservative than others. I have three boys so it will never be an issue here. Personally I think it's cute and wouldn't bother me. I wouldn't have an issue if another parent was more strict though. I really wasn't allowed makeup until I was 13 or so. Even then, I didn't really wear it often.

The only time I'm worried about anyone having nail polish is if they chew their nails.

I don't see anything wrong with it and those that do,  they make a Polish specifically designed for little ones,  as they like to have hands in mouth,  that is safe for them
