Smell weird after birth?

How long will I smell funky down there? I'm 6 weeks postpartum but I still smell gross and still have a little bit of light bleeding. Shouldn't it be letting up soon? My doctor told me the smell is normal because the uterus is cleaning itself out from the pregnancy. It doesn't smell bad. Just off.
