Non-muslim women: what was your experience when dating muslim guys?

I have a friend who's considering dating him, even though she's christian and he's Muslim (he prays, doesn't drink alcohol, only halal meat). He told her that he is allowed to do it and she doesn't have to convert. Is it true? What were your experiences?

my boyfriend's family is muslim, and so is he but he's not too strict about it. I don't really follow a specific religion. they love me(: and we have no issues. we both read the quran together and I love learning but there's no pressure to convert. obviously it's different with every family though, and I wouldn't mind converting at all.

Yes that's true. My boyfriend is Muslim and I'm Christian. He'd never ever ask me to convert. He respects my religion and vice versa. He doesn't drink but he will sometimes eat bacon and such. His parents are very strict on it but he's not so much. Muslims are depicted as evil controlling people and it's really sad. They aren't all that way and the ones I know are very giving and kind. It just depends on the person. Some are more extreme than others. My boyfriend decided to have sex before marriage and wants tattoos in the future. He celebrates Christmas with me and I celebrate eid Mubarak with him. It works well with us, even though I don't agree with everything. Now how our future kids will be raised will definitely be a struggle. For Christians we are firm believers in Jesus is the son of God. They do not believe in that. They believe he's a prophet and no one compares to God. I dunno... Like I said, it just depends on the person.

My sister is married to a Muslim and she's Christian. He doesn't practice so they have no issues there. However they have a baby now and they are not in agreement as to how to bring baby up.

I've been controlled by Christians and zero problems with any other religion. Some are more into it than others, just like any religion. So it all zeros in on the individual

Yes it's true. Some are not too conservative. I don't know much about it but I have an Indian friend, he's Muslim. His family was opposed to him marrying a Hindu woman, but not a chrsitian or a Jewish. Which really surprised me. So he explained to me that all 3 religions follow "the book" and went on and on. On the other hand some would insist the wife to convert before marriage and also to raise kids as Muslims. My other friend at work is Muslim, his wife is a Jehovah's Witness and they are raising the kids as Jehovah witnesses. I mean he just let her do as she sees fit.
