Did you or are you touring the hospital you're planning to deliver at?

Feel free to leave any comments of why you think it was beneficial for you! Also- what did they show on the tour?

I never have before, but my ob suggested it since i can choose between 2 different hospitals. All my babies have been born at different hospitals. Within the last year we moved to a different state. I've heard lots of good things about these hospitals so I'm excited to tour.

No, and only because its the same hospital I delivered my first at, so I know the place up and down lol

Get to go on our tour for our last Lamaze class in two weeks. Makes it seem too real that the baby will be here soon.

We're touring because I'm curious about what we will need/want to bring with us, both for ourselves and for baby. With our older daughter, we never toured the hospital, though.

I'm not because I'm delivering at the same hospital I had my first at.

We took the tour of the hospital because we've never been to this birthing center. Also because I know one of the hospitals close to us only provides diapers after birth for baby so we wanted to know what all we needed. To our surprise our birthing center is 6 birthing rooms 2 triage rooms all in the shape of a horse shoe around both the nurses station and the nursery. Our hospital also provieds everything for baby after birth and all of moms postpartum care :)

We took a tour of two area hospitals and after taking the second tour decided to switch doctors and hospitals. The second hospital is a little closer to our house, it's easier to get to the maternity ward (they have their own building), and the rooms are bigger. They both have a level 3 NICU but my current dr said they're not the same and transferring would be a big mistake. If you have more than one hospital close to you I would consider taking tours of all of them.
