How will I handle two?

My husband and I don't have any family around to help and were expecting baby number two soon. We have a three year old as well. Can you tell me what it's going to be like once the baby is here? How will I sleep, how will I do anything with a toddler, a new baby and a house that needs clean and dinner that needs made? Any tips? Any forwarnings? Thanks

Prioritize. Chicken nuggets and frozen broccoli won't kill your child. Load the dishwasher if you have one before bed so they're clean in the morning. Ask husband to do specific things, like bath time for your oldest or picking up something if you can't go out one day. Make meal plans and make sure you get both kids on a schedule that you are comfortable with. Read or play with the older child while you feed the baby or when they're sleeping. Little kids understand more than we give them credit for, make sure you talk to them about how the baby is going to be here soon and they will be mommy's big helper (if they can manage). Make time for yourself so you don't get stressed out. It will happen, but it's important not to take it out in your kids or your husband. Shit happens. You can't stop from being tired but you can learn to cope. No one is going to judge you if your counters are sticky or laundry needs to be folded. Breathe. And smile even when you feel like screaming.

If you have your husband to help it won't be that bad, chaotic but ok. I had my second when my son was only a year and 8 months. It was hard for me because my husband was working at the time. Postpartum depression affected me badly, I cried for weeks because having two in diapers was very very hard. I grew out of it and I made it! Just know you will be tired and frustrated but don't let it get to you, and your husband will have to take some of the responsibility as well. Best of luck!!!

I'm in the same boat as you. I have a 3 year old son and I will be having baby number 2 in sept. In all honesty I'm not sure how I and my husband will do it but we will figure it out.

You can do it! It may be crazy at times but doable. I am pregnant with #4 and I work fulltime. My kids are 9,7,4. I do everything! Cook,clean clothes. Run the kids to school and daycare.  I never leave dishes In the sink or toys on the floor at night. Do I rest not really. I am tired 24/7. I am 34 and this is my last baby. My body can not do it anymore. Point is...You can do it.
