Nipple blisters??

One of my nipples is really sore when pumping. I looked at it closely and it appears to have little blisters on it. Almost like water blisters. One popped. Anyone have this before or know what caused it. Most importantly how to fix it and prevent

A nipple shield should help, or more frequent breaks while nursing and pumping. They go away with time and rest.
