discolored toe nail

I don't think it's a fungus. I fully believe that my big toe nails are stained. I haven't gone without toenail polish in years. does anyone else have this problem? I'm going to try that funginail stuff anyway to see if it helps the color. because I am sad I can't not wear nail polish because it looks gross.
