I want to have a baby

My boyfriend and I have been together 8 months now and he already has a child . He tells me he wants to have a baby because we really are so much in love but part of me feels like it's a little too soon ? I'm on birth control and have been since I was 14 (I'm 19 now he's 21) I'm afraid my parents are going to freak since they're so strict if it does happen , but I just want to know; should I do it because I want to and I know I am legally and mentally an adult or should I wait ?
