Changing belly piercing I can't unscrew the ball?

This is my first time changing my belly ring I had it done November 4th of last year and I want to change it today. For some reason I can not take off the ball on my piercing I think the piercer put it on to tight. I don't wanna force it and then I fuck up then it gets really infected any tips? Should I just go to the piercer so that he can take it off for me? I watched some tutorials on YouTube an it looks so easy on them on mines it's too damn tight 😒

I used a latex glove to change mine, the latex helps grab onto the ball easier

Use a pair of rubber gloves for a better grip on it or use toilet paper between your finger tips. I had to do this with my tongue ring.

Make sure u are twisting it the right way, I thought mine was too tight but I was just twisting it to the right instead of the left. It sounds silly but that’s what happened to me lol.

I had to use a pair of pliers to get my first one off. I called my piercer and they wanted to charge me a ton to just unscrew it. I held the bottom tightly and used the pliers on the ball. I couldn't see spending $80.00 for them to get it lose for me. Call your piercer and find out if they can loosen it for you. Have to be very careful if you try what I did and probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. But hey you asked what others had done. Lol!

I got a rubber jar opener to get mine off. It was just a square flat piece of rubber.
