Allergy Help

I have severe seasonal allergies. In the past, I've gotten an allergy shot and with the combination of that and Claritin, I've been great. I opted not to get the shot this year. My OB has suggested Claritin, Benedryl, and prescription eye drops. The Benedryl helps me to get a couple hours of sleep, but beyond that, my symptoms remain. Has anyone had this problem and found something that works?
