Question for anyone coming off depo?

For any one that came off the depo shot after being on it for 2 years not to be too personal or too tmi but I was just wondering I just switched to the pill last month and I thought I had a regular period for a week and then it stopped but the a week later after having no period I got it again but this time extremely heavy like changing the tampon every 2 hours and it doesn't depend on the size of it. I was wondering if it was normal to have it like that or no?
