Used clothes or shoes?

Do you care to buy used baby clothes or shoes from other people even if you wash them? Considering that it happens sometimes friends or family pass on clothes to someone who is expecting. I mean is in it the same as buying new clothes? Your going to wash them anyways right cause of the chemicals and cause other pple touch them.

Other then that is in it a huge money saving for the first months of your baby since they grow out of it fast.
