Could this be early contractions?

My back is killing me, and I'm having stomach tightening, but no pain there, just my back. And it feels like baby is about to fall out, there's so much pressure on my pelvis. Doctor said my cervix is soft and very thin, but not dilated at all.

I went to the doctor today and she explained that there are contractions and then there are Braxton Hicks contractions. Two totally different things. She told me that the tightening of the stomach is a contraction and it won't cause any pain. She also told me to make sure I'm getting less than four in an hour otherwise I need to take myself to the er. If you haven't talked to your doctor recently, please notify him/her and try to measure how often it is occurring. I'm 26 weeks today. How far are you?
