Hss anybody ever been induced before? This is my first baby and due to me taking blood pressure medicine my doctors would like to induce me at 39 weeks (3 more weeks) any advice or share your experience? 😊

I was induced with my first at 41 weeks and it was a very smooth process for me. Went in at 8pm, by 9 was hooked up to everything and was able to sleep until about 4am. Got epidural around 7am and baby was born at 9:07 am! No problems, not much pain. It was nice!

I got induced on my due date. They made me do cytotec pills all night with nothing changing. About 12 hrs. Around 11am they started pitocin and within a few hours an a cpl dosage ups I was dilating and ready to get my epidural. After that was abt an hr, they were trying to get a catheter in me and couldn't because I was 10cm around 530pm. I pushed for an hr, but only because the epidural dose was do high I couldn't feel anything. They turned it down, cpl pushes later she was out. All in all I went in around 9pm Tuesday and she was out at 648pm Wednesday. No complications, minimal tearing.

Yes, I was induced at 37w due to gestational diabetes.

I'm not going to lie, it sucked. 2.5 days being pumped full of chemicals with no progress and ended in emergency c section when baby finally got stressed out. The C section was a way better experience then being induced...lots of painful cervix checks, laying on that hard delivery bed for do long.

Now with that being sad all is well that ends well. Many people that are induced things go quickly and easily for. Since I still had three weeks to go we literally were forcing him out vs if you are almost full term your baby should be more receptive to the medications to start labor.
