Natural or conventional birth?

Home water birth with a midwife!! All natural!!

We chose a natural birth because of the difference in atmosphere; the women at our birth center all have amazing calm energies, the rooms are beautiful and lit with candles, fountains, etc. and my midwife helps bring out a woman's inner warrior which is right up my alley! Plus, hospitals always make me extremely anxious and I can't see myself being able to get into a good head space there.

Natural water birth.. will be in a hospital but will be accompanied by my midwife.

Natural - I had a natural with my first so feel prepared to do it again. However this time I would like a water birth. Looks much more relaxing (?!) and I've heard it helps with the pain. 🙂 hoping it will help reduce risk of tearing too, although I don't know if it does...

I feel like all birth is natural and I kinda hate that term. But you mean like medicated or unmedicated? Your birth experience is so personal and I know for me I was forced to not get an epidural because I had a nurse with her own agenda about how I should experience my daughters birth. I hated it to the point where it was down right traumatic and I was not even in the right frame of mind to hold my baby until a while after she was born. I know this is not the case for all. And I love that we do have a choice (well most of the time). For me the epidural took just enought of the edge away that I could participate (cause oh yeah you still feel stuff) but not be in so much pain that I puke, hyperventilate etc. But that's just me and I know others disagree and that's OK these are my experiences and memories😄 good luck
