Probably going to get slammed for this but I'm voicing my opinion. It really irks me when people from other countries say "just get rid of the guns like other countries and save lives". #1- It's not easy for Americans just to hand over their guns. We have used them for centuries. Responsible gun owners aren't the ones going on killing sprees. #2- It is in our Constitution, the supreme law of the land, to bear arms. Changing the constitution could take years. #3- America is a melting pot. So many people with different ideas & backgrounds. Coming to a decision takes forever.
