"the couples that are truly happy aren't the ones always posting about how happy they are" I saw this online. I've only been in one relationship and it was true in my case, I was never so unhappy in my life and people were shocked when we broke up because we seemed to be so "happy" lol. What are your opinions on that quote? Is it always true?

I hardly ever post anything about us unless he does something super amazing and out of the blue or the annual anniversary. But I like to think we're extremely happy. We've been together over 4 years and since high school too. But not a lot of people know too much about us. We're pretty private and in group settings, we tend to act more like best friends unless there are multiple couples around. 
But I do believe there is some truth to that statement. I feel like people post more about their relationships when they're not going too well in order to give themselves and others some reassurance (minus the honeymoon phase). Like proof or evidence that things are great. I guess it's like they're overcompensating.

I think it's generally true. When you are truly happy, you don't really feel the need to blasted all over the Internet. It's like you're trying to prove something. If you have to prove something to the world, then you're probably a faker.

I love my bf and 98% of the time we are happy but I don't post about him or our relationship on social media at all. I'll change my profile picture every few months to a new one of us but that's it. I just never felt the need to. Plus I really don't think anyone cares about my relationship.

While it applies to my fiancé and I, of course it wouldn't apply to everyone. Expressing your love often on social media doesn't always mean you're not happier than a couple that does the opposite. It's a cute quote but it's not a one quote fits all? Lol

I don't post anything on social media about my hubby.... He is a Air Force pilot and been deployed 5 times he is up for lt col and was in a high profile job before. I don't want terrorists to target us so I'm very careful about pics with us or anything like that. It already happened to some people we know on the b52 in Shreveport. I haven't been on social media for over a month anyways.

I love my man and I rarely post on social media about us, the odd pic here and there for special occasions or if we went some where. I have come across couples that post a lot to try and make it seem like they are happy but that isn't the case all of the time. I never judge a couple based off how much or how little they post, that seems silly to me. Some people are more open and others or more private.

I have never been happier with my SO. We have been together for 7years next month and we never post 'couples photos' or anything else online.  We are happy and we know it that's all that matters:-) 
I dont feel the need to share it with the world and I would be tempted to agree with that quote. X
